As we bid farewell to another fantastic year, we can't help but take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've had at BIMobject. 2023 has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with groundbreaking milestones, late-night coding sessions, and the sweet symphony of your invaluable feedback echoing through our virtual halls.

Join us as we rewind the clock and revisit five stellar product updates that have not only transformed the way we meet and collaborate, but have also been embraced with open arms by our amazing community.

Let's dive in!

  1. Local brand pages - Q1

Your BIMobject brand page is your window to a world of AEC users. Now, we’ve made it possible for you to customize your brand’s presentation for different markets, countries, or regions with the Localized Brand Pages feature.

All available brand page elements are fully customizable. Once set up, products will only appear to professionals browsing within the set region – creating a tailored offering and experience that hits home.

  2. Ratings and Reviews - Q2

The star of the stars - probably one of our most exciting steps ever taken to spark conversation and transparency between AEC users and brands on our platform. Ratings and Reviews was set live in June, and has since been followed by several small updates to improve the experience both for brands and architects. We are all continuously learning from the stream of ratings and comments collected, and are always ready to support you in understanding the feedback you get on your BIM files. We are happy that this feature helps us secure and confirm the high quality of the BIM content on BIMobject, and creates trust between users and manufacturers.

  3. Email Campaigns 2.0 - Customize emails and reach new users
    - Q2/Q3

Another move to boost conversation and make it easier and more fun to engage AEC users, is the revamp of the BIMobject email marketing tool.

Insert additional images, drag and drop structure, personalize brand colors, and - choose to send your email to your current audience or an undiscovered audience. In other words, help any selected user group of your interest engage with your brand and discover your products. The world (of bimobject.com) is your oyster!

  4. BIM inspector - Peek inside your BIM files - Q4

To help you understand what the architects experience when they download your BIM object and use it in their software, we have launched the BIM inspector. This makes it easy for you to preview what your object looks like, and how they will behave, in a Revit model. In addition, we also let you view the parameters and data that is inside the file, and hopefully removing a little bit of the "black box" mystery that the BIM objects tend to be if you are not a technical expert. And why should you need to be? On the same note, we also made it possible for AEC users to preview your object in 3D before downloading. Better understanding for everyone!

  5. Regional product prioritization - Q4

We've made it easy for you to tell us who of BIMobjects 4 million users your products are relevant for, by selecting prioritized regions. This will improve the matches in search results, and help your objects find their way to architects in the markets that matter most to you.

So, Brea the architect who is searching bimobject.com in Italy, will be presented with products that are prioritized in Italy. If you want your products to compete for a top-spot in Breas search results, you should add Italy as a prioritized region in your plan.

The new home view in the business dashboard visualizes your prioritized regions, together with relevant numbers, and the new sidebar and teams section help you declutter the workspace for locally focused users.

Thats it! We hope you recognize the features and news listed above, and have had the time already to try them out. Remember that your customer success manager is always eager to answer any questions, and listen to your valuable feedback.

As we now say goodbye to one chapter, we eagerly turn the page to the next, armed with lessons learned, dreams to chase, and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of digital product data.
