The manufacturer's steps to get published on Prodikt

Updated over a month ago

Prodikt simplifies the process of maintaining and updating product data. Products can be added gradually via our interface or using structured Excel templates, giving manufacturers full control over their data.

Providing detailed data as a manufacturer helps project teams assess and select your products more effectively. Key factors such as climate impact, circularity, material health, and technical specifications play a crucial role in project decisions.

If you, as a manufacturer, are unsure how to manage your environmental and technical product information, we are here to assist you.

Our dedicated team of experts specializes in Life Cycle Analysis, Environmental Product Declarations, and Business-Driven Sustainability, providing the guidance you need to navigate these processes effectively.

  1. Add Product

Begin by creating a new product in Prodikt. If an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is available, connect it directly to the product. If an EPD is not yet available, contact Prodikt for support in obtaining it. While waiting, you can proceed by adding product images and general product information to ensure the listing is as complete as possible.

2. Add Components

Once the product is created, you need to define and attach its components. When adding a component, ensure that the product weight is specified in accordance with the functional unit (e.g., kg/piece, kg/m²). This step is essential for accurate sustainability and material assessments.

3. Add Product Details

Enter all relevant product details by filling in fields related to technical specifications, material health, circularity aspects, and dimensional parameters. This ensures that your product data is easily comprehensible, well-structured, and easily searchable using filters.

4. Add Variants

If your product comes in multiple variants, register each one separately. For each variant - provide a specific name, article number, and GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). If multiple variants exist, repeat this process for each one to ensure proper differentiation and clear identification.

5. Add Certificates

Attach any relevant certification to validate compliance, quality, and sustainability standards. Certificates enhance transparency and credibility, making your product more attractive to decision-makers.

6. Add Documents

Finally, upload any supporting documents related to the product. These include technical datasheets, safety documentation, or additional certifications. Organizing these documents within Prodikt ensures that all essential information is readily available for users and project stakeholders.

By following these steps you ensure that your product is accurately documented, fully transparent, and easily accessible to key stakeholders within the construction industry.
